Grand Theft Auto IV: better or worse?

For those who do not know, the new Grand Theft Auto, coming out October 16, 2007 in the U.S., seems to be taking on a new role on GTA gaming. San Andreas seemed to be more focused on making the game somewhat comical and unrealistic, which gave it huge potential for other uses (such as running golf carts off of skyscrapers and just flat out stupid stuff). The new Grand Theft Auto seems to be focusing more on making things more realistic. This means elimination of things such as the jetpack as seen in San Andreas. It also seems that the storyline will be taken much more seriously.

So here's the million dollar question: do you think that taking a role as more realistic is better than being unrealistic (and light-hearted and comical)?

Side-note: the graphics in GTA IV will be greatly improved.
