| The places which were colonized earliest and therefore longest were presumably already the most attractive places. Perhaps that is the cause of their current success rather than colonization.
In the new world colonialism was inarguably a bad thing for the natives, and probably in Africa too. In China, India, and some other places it might have had a beneficial overall effect. |
