Could it be that they have hopes that the situation can be stabilized within a year, thus ending the “insurgents” murderous attacks? That once those murderous attacks are halted, they can get down to the business of self-government?

You DO realize that the response to the poll you love to quote only part of, that you seem to have forgotten to include a link can be read to day that a Majority of Iraqis don’t want the U.S. to leave in less than 0ne Year? (69%)
