Quote by: The Genuis Hey there man! I support Man United... Lol.. Arsenal gave us a hiding this weekend, but we will survive! So you ain't got a favorite team in the big league? Liverpool? Chelsea? Villa? |
Man U?!?! Man U?!?! Damn glory-hunter that you are!

Still, at least Chelsea got thumped by Liverpool, so the title race is still open. By the way - Magpies = Newcastle, Royals = Reading. Respectively 12th & 9th in the Premiership (not bad for a newly promoted team).

Quote by: Ish When you say local team, are your leagues truly made up of local lads or are they more like our football, where a team represents a town but in reality is made up of players from all over the country? I think I know, but since I have a chance to learn for sure from an informed source... |
Ish, it's the latter case. They're based locally, but the players are not only from all across the country, but all across the world - our football being a truly international sport.

As an example....Newcastle's key men are Turkish, Northern Irish, and...Nigerian, if memory serves, with a couple of Englishmen, whilst Reading have a S.Korean, an Icelander, an American, an Irishman...etc. Sounds like the lead-up to a bad joke, but that's the case. In the really big teams - like Manchester United or Chelsea - they have the spending power to procure the best players from all over the world - so they do.
