How exactly do you use the older Nintendo games on the Wii?
The Game Cube games play directly on the Wii. The older games are available for sale on the Wii itself via the wirelesss internet connection. My kids downloaded a N64 Mario game that they are playing a lot these days. It cost ten bucks. I think the even older games are cheaper. They use the old Game Cube controllers.

The lesson of the Wii is that brute force technology is not all there is to gaming. I could frankly give a rat's ass about whether or not the graphics are HD. The Wii motion sensors make gaming more fun and more accessible to non-hard core gamers. That is what matters to me.
