How about "Americans"? Simple, accurate, to the point and it isn't a lie. There's no such thing as an African-American. You cannot be an African citizen, hence you cannot hold dual citizenship with Africa and America. That's like saying European-American or Mars-American. It's a completely nonsensical phrase.
You know, for wanting an equal and color-blind society, it's amazing how much blacks not only want to differentiate themselves, but want to point out their skin color as much as possible. Funny, huh?
