Would you prefer nigger (sorry for the vulgarity)? African American is what they are, exactly as I am German American, my friend is Korean-American, and my teacher Native American. It just denotes their heritage. There is nothing wrong with the term.

i don't remember a specifc attack on African Americans, so I don't know who your post is defending. And I'd also like to point out that what you listed as traits for one ethnic group are very contradictive, and actually denote more than one cultural group.
Also, sensationalism may be far more productive than fact, but debate centers around fact. Sensationalism is why much of what you negatively ascribed to the majority of Americans exists today.
