Would he transport them to another country to hide them if he could and if he trusted them? Of course! But who was a friend to Saddam over there?
Not Syria, not Iran. I know little about his relationship with Jordan but I highly doubt it.
In any case, these are serious charges against Syria. I move to have them dismissed until the prosecution can gather evidence, if there is any evidence to gather!

You know, if Saddam payed Syria to take the weapons(money can have the affect of smoothing over rough edges, and Saddam did raid the banks of Iraq prior to the war) and hold them for him, so that 1) he might be able to reclaim them one day in the future and 2) make Bush look bad by not being able to find WMD's in Iraq....
Of course this all speculation.....except for the "credible" reports of convoys of trucks going into Syria from Iraq...
