| JohnMK ...interesting chart? Who was doing the measuring back in 1890? What sort of devices(other that a sniff test) were used for these measurements and where were they taken?
Where were the ice cores drawn? Is the CO2 concentration universal all over the globe,or are there differences in the concentrations?(seems like they should be higher near greater industial centers)? Could there be some interesting questions about the origin of all global temperature measurements before modern times? How and where were theytaken in some of the remoter areas of the world? Were the instumentas accurate and the data consistiently taken?
Just a few questions that the global climate doomsday types might consider?
Of cours there is the basic question of just how can we mere earthlings (who have only one possible source to curb in this imagined scenario of saving world climate) possibly contribute to changing the cours of world climate? Since we haven't proved that human caused emissions are a MAJOR factor in the worlds climate just how do we manipulate these emissions to have an effect and how long will it take to slow the warming? Of course we must also consider what is the economic cost to humanity of such efforts?
II'm sure those who believe can conjure up proofs?! I can't believe it, however. Admission that the earth is in a warming cycle is there. Evidence that human caused emissions are affecting the warming trend is not there? I still feel it may be a worthy cause to reduce emissions for human health reasons but such rductions wont IMO affect climate change?
Thus we play the fools with the time, and the spirits of the wise sit in the clouds and mock us. |
