I realize this is a very opinionated resource.

I have read other resources as well, and I recognize the benefits on the corporate side, but I think this is a very dangerous. It is dangerous because it is on the boarder of privacy rights. I feel that this is just another negative turn since the advent of the USA Privacy Act that -to me- passed _much_ too quickly after the 911 incident. I think that they have revised the USA Patriot Act farily recently, but I have yet to read what they have corrected.

The concept of devices that control or censor the public are always fought, for example the 'mandatory v-chip' in televisions that seemed to gain a good amount of momentum in the past. This is similar to that instance except with not only with what is seen, but also what is actually used [ hardware & software ].

Comments?

Edit: This is about technology, but also about rights, I hope I put this in the correct section admins // if not I apologize.
