I don't think it's that it should have taken 6 months, I think it's that how could anyone think it could be DONE in 6 months?

We went in with the idea that all Iraqi's would fall down in thanks and rush to help us occupy them and rebuild and that creating a democracy and reconstruction would just happen smooth as silk right away....

This is not directed at you, bob. How could our administration really believe that and "plan" for things to go down that way? I'm no great expert in war or political matters but even lil' ole' me could see it wasn't going to be that easy.

Very poor planning on our part as to what and how things would take place once the country was defeated.
