To me, being an American doesn't mean all that much. Really it just means having been born and raised here. In no way does it mean supporting the government, as I do not.

Am I "proud" to be an American? Hell, no. Then again, I don't think I'm "proud" to be anything.

What I don't understand is how people can ascribe a certain mindset to being an American. It's that whole "American exceptionalism" thing, all over again... :rolleyes:
