| I'm a big fan of Eddie Izzard - he's pretty offbeat with his subject matter and keeps breaking out into mime or conversations with himself, and he's also a very funny man.
Bill Bailey is, if anything, slightly weirder (he has a strange fascination with small animals, it seems) and every bit as funny. Part Troll always makes me laugh, and his songs are decent too.
Jimmy Carr's another favourite, but his humour's a lot harsher and more dry and sarcastic than that of the other two. He's hilarious if you take some of the things he says with a grain of salt, as I'm pretty sure he does too.
Stephen Fry is also brilliant, but I haven't seen him doing proper stand-up yet - just appearing on, or writing for, thing. |
