Clinton made two statements that contradicted each other, therefore one of them has to be a lie, no matter what logic you use. Davis on the other hand bought power from a lot of power companies, including ENRON, and then had the state refuse to pay its' debt. Of course when ENRON went under everyone seems to forget that the state of CA owed them quite a large amount of money. So why is CA not liable to those stockholders?
Yes, the power companies wanted too much money, but does that justify agreeing to the price and stiffing them when the bill comes?
Would not surprise me at all if those power companies soaked a lot of money into his opponents. "Live by the sword..."
BTW: You have no right to be outraged by someone bashing Clinton, when you can not go two posts w/o bashing Bush. Hypocrite!!! |
