These days, the idea that women and men are the same is becoming more and more popular. The modern feminist movement would have women treated and paid the exact same as men in all circumstances. However, the Bible goes so far as to tell women to be silent in the church.

I'm not a hater, I just want opinions on the issue.
Paul, the writer of Corinthians, was a misogynistic bastard with epilepsy. He never knew Jesus, and only claimed to see him after he had an epileptic attack on the road to Damascus? Don't believe me? Google it. The misogynistic part is personal opinion, I can't prove he was, but that verse tells the whole story.

It kills me when people think they need to follow the bible word for word, when clearly, a lot of the stuff was and is written for a different period of time. The only thing people should be taking literally out of the bible are certain moral codes that are timeless.... Hmmm Don't murder, don't steal, treat others with respect, ignore (if you can) antagonists, help those who can't help themselves.... and maybe a few others. Most of the moral codes one should be following aren't really biblical codes anyway, most people world wide follow the above to some degree without ever having read the bible. These morals are inherent in most people. The problem with the bible is that it gives you a "get out of hell free" card by offering forgiveness when you don't follow the inherent moral codes. Without the bible, you need to do the responsible thing and get forgiveness from the transgressee and pay the price for your sins on your own.[/rant]

If a woman can do a job as well as or better than a man, then I say let her do it and pay her fairly and equally.
