| In britain we have "Party Political Broadcasts" that any party, that can demonstrate enough support, has a right to. These are shown every night, about 5 mins long, at different times. thats the only TV coverage they have direct control over. Otherwise they are just gonna have to get themselves on the news.
But as for going door to door, thats exactley what our people do. Not the MP's themselves, but activists. In the run up to main elections you'll probably get about 4 05 diff parties banging at your door now and then. They'll tell you exactley what the party intends to do if they are in government. And you can tear them apart if your so inclined, which I am, and its fun to watch them squirm as your show them up for not having the answers. Sadism IS fun.
