Stations have been caught broadcasting "fake news" that was actually just corporate advertising.
Almost all of the monopoly owned media companies, only tell you the "corporate" side of the news, and leave the rest to be done by "investigative reporters" of which they support none, usually.(unless it is to investigate a competitor.)
I think since the news has been monopolized and globalized, it has become an investigative service for the corporate boys, and a propaganda tool for them as well.
Free media is all but dead.
