The beginning of what? The point of infinite existence is that there is no beginning point, no end point. If the universe were completely void, it wouldn't be "the universe" now would it? It would be nothing. The universe is simply the name we give all the matter that forms stars, universes, galaxies and so forth. Human is the name we give the matter that forms us. Our naming conventions do not impart reality beyond our ability to comprehend it. Getting something from nothing is a question for theists to answer. Science does not propose that.
