However, that said, not all people are enfranchised. So can it be said that the government represents all citizens? I think it is important to separate, we the people, from those in government who pretend to represent us. We have Senators and Congressmen/women who vote their conscience or their allegiance to a lobby, and not their constituency. Therefore, I do not consider them to represent me. This is one reason why I vote the Libertarian ticket.
