Y'know, we've seen this before. The feds were on to these guys from day one, like the Canadian "terror" ring, and that other one in Lodi a couple of years ago. These people are so inept that even their civilian neighbors are reporting them well in advance of any overt action. The authorities could easily walk in at that time and break up these groups, but where would be the big headlines in that?? The massive "intel" budget and multiple governmental agencies with overlapping and duplicate functions have to be justified somehow. How to do that?? Easy. Just nurture and encourage these groups. Keep them under total surveillance, but help them grow and expand. Offer them whatever support that doesn't actually allow them to do anything, yet helps them believe that they are on the path to success. The neighbors have already reported these guys, so keep the local cops from going in too early and spoiling the big public display of efficiency and expertise scripted by the federal bureaucrats. Hollywood couldn't do a better job of making such a docudrama. Of course, Hollywood has a limited budget and has to answer to stockholders. The feds have an unlimited supply of taxpayer dollars and huge numbers of employees that have to have something to do. But what happens when the public finally catches on to the ruse of these "major terror busts"??
