| The Food Stamp program is out of control. It has grown fastest during the Bush administration, by the way. Nevertheless, it seems mean spirited at least to complain about whether or not food stamp recipients buy certain cuts of meat. (Not to say un-Christian, as well.)
Of course the strongest supporter of Food Stamps has been the farm state congressmen and senators who view it as a yet another subsidy to agra-business. And as bloated as the Food Stamp program has become it is equal in dollar terms to a few months spending in Iraq. Personally I think feeding people may be more important than killing them.
