Quote by: Kite I am acutely aware of how and why my mind works the way it does. If I am not sure why I feel a certain way or do a certain thing, I have a way of detaching my conciousness from my mind and looking at it objectively. For example, I once wondered why I yelled at my parents when I did not take my medication. I looked at myself objectivley, and discovered that when I do not have my meds I become very moody and susceptable to aggrivation. Its all about self-analasys. However, since my own conciousness is prone to being infulenced by the way my mind precieves reality, the opinion or conclusion I come to when analyzing myself may be, or most likely is, biased based on my personal beliefs or past experiences, especially since these things are critical factors in coming to my conclusion. |
At the out set, I am sorry for responding late. It is a nice piece of first hand experienced information concluding our past critical incidencies do have an effect on our mood. But my question is somewhat different as re-explained below.

Quote by: Milton Bradley Are you asking why the mind reacts to what it percieves as ( for example ) hostility? |
Not only why, but the mechanism by which mind does it so. Is it only mind which takes the part in the reaction to the situation or, consciousness which you call yourself as YOU has a role to play?? Is that YOU is a separate identity or, what?? :(
for example the way Kite talked about self analysis. Is it only minds business or self also takes part into decision??
I want to know the way the specific drugs make the mind respond in a changed fashion by physical/chemical or bio-chemical contact, how does type of language (pleasant or harsh one) of second person makes the changes the first person's mind response without any contact as in case of drug intake!!!!

Theistic minds are no different from non-theistic minds. The onle difference is that theists are affected by different memes than non-theists. (see the link in my sig for more info on memes).

I too feel that theistic minds are no different from non-theistic minds, but my doubt is why and in what way, the mind respond the way it does to the fashion in which he is addressed, or to the situation he comes across in absence of direct contatual effect as in case of mood changing drugs intake.
