| There are plenty of opportunities for those who prefer to fly solo both in employment and in society as well. However, that position does have its hazards.
If you're not part of a/the team, you stand out, you're more of a target. You don't have anyone near to curb your enthusiasm/anger/frustration, thus making it easier to succeed if your skills and personality really shine when you're on your own, and fail spectacularly if they don't.
It takes a bit of courage, confidence, personality and pluck to be out there away from the crowd, but it's a rewarding way to live just the same.
