| My lack of knowledge of new music is basically a self imposed exile.
It's not that I have anything against new music, I just don't have a way to hear it without being exposed to the media barrage that goes with it. Without a mute button to make the commercials go away, I think the whole process has become cost prohibitive. I am simply not willing to expose myself to that kind of psychological torture on a regular basis. I 've had my share of forced entertainment, and have chosen to suffer in silence rahter than listen to the manufactured hype again, and again. |
