| There are concerns I'd have for a lesbian daughter, that I wouldn't have (as much) with a straight child. Dealing with her being more likely to drop out of schools, smoking, drinking, narcotic addictions, suicide. In Junior High School I'd guide her to join a gay/straight alliance group, because even having a gay Dad, her's would be a new generation, with different needs and desires I wouldn't be qualified to share with her. I'd soft petal the idea that her wedding day is her BIGGEST day, for her that might never happen. Teaching her to be frugal, and self sufficient would be better life lessons for her, she and a woman partner will likely be living on two incomes 2/3rds of what male workers earn. |
