| Yeah, yeah, yeah, the video game industry creates bad games, the movie industry creates bad movies, the television industry creates bad TV, but are we noticing a pattern here?
I personally think the stuff is created in some dark laboratory somewhere, and foisted upon the masses, and not the reverse claim that it is "demand" for bad entertainment that creates the proliferation of such mindless drivel.
Granted, certain demographics gravitate toward some of the really bad stuff, ( me being one of those that gravitates toward the more violent subject matter ) but that is to be expected in a population of this size. ( Hell, how many sociopaths live in the U.S. ? )
What should concern everybody is the absolute lack of competition, and the tendency to blame the audience for the production companies resulting "copycat syndrome". ( Copycat Syndrome ; the phenomenon where one channel has a succesful show, the other channels copy the formula of the already succesful show resulting in more of the same old crap. )
