| The way I see it, charging double homicide in such a situation is the political way of throwing a bone to the pro lifers without having to look like they're trashing Roe. It's just playing both sides to avoid totally alienating either.
It's also worth noting that these same lawmakers will make speeches to the pro lifers saying life begins at conception but a pregnant woman can't declare the fetus a dependent on her taxes until it's BORN.
