Israel would kick ass. Its best for us to keep at a distance for 2 reasons.
1- We dont have the troops to do it. We would need a draft. People have often tried to link, or compare the war in Iraq to WW2. Of course they have NOTHING in common. But if we went to war to help Isreal with Iran... Well, Iran wouldnt be the only country we have to fight with. And I am not talking about Iraq or Afganistan. So some REAL sacrafices would have to be made by the American public. They would have to sacrafice that cushy life they cling to so desperately. They would have to see their kids go without choice, they would have to ration gas, metals, food, the list goes on. And where would we get the military equipment from? We dont have the manufacturing capability left in this country to build up like we did in WW2. Its all been outsourced. I suppose we could buy tanks and weapons from China....
2- Israel already said. If they are attacked in all out war, or nuked, that this time it will be Samson. They call it the Samson option.

As you know, Samson scraficed himself to destroy his enemies.
So in other words, the whole area around and in Israel will be one big hot bed of radiation.
