| Maybe the CIA isn't getting a big enough piece of the action so they decided to eradicate the supply until a more "cooperative" supplier shows up. It's not like demand will go away because of this, or ANY other scheme to eradicate a plant and it's not like the government really BELIEVES they will be ABLE to wipe these plants off the face of the Earth.
We have a problem with foreign plants and animals which have slipped into this country and are harming native species. Plants mixed in with agriculture or exotic pets are introduced to this country and spread unchecked.
The government has so far been unable to do much to stop the spread of these plants and animals so what makes them think they can eradicate plants that drugs are made from.
I'm sure it is only news for the sheep to consume, so they can continue to sleep comfortably, safe in the knowledge their country is doing something about the awful drug problem. The MOST this could do is shift the economic benefit of drug-producing crops to another country.
Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots. |
