| Fundamentalism and violence. Why is it that western and mid-eastern religions seem to feel that violence is not a sin where as they are really judgemental about sex and other things that might offer pleasure?
Those who claim to be religious and who also share right-wing political objectives seem to be the ones most willing to justify violence in the name of righteousness.
This seems to be the case in modern times as well as reported to be the case in biblical times.
They do not mind watching a movie with violence but it someone gets naked, woo hooo the complaints come flying. They support wars as a means to bring about concepts of freedom and so forth, instead of advocating wisdom, love, and understanding.
It is almost like they have a secret policy to ban peace from becoming a reality.
Although they do know that sex is needed to reproduce the flock, they make it so highly regulated that it becomes more-or-less ugly - like going to the bathroom after a meal.
It must be done in secret and so they get really sneaky about how they get laid.
The thing I do not find reasonable is that it all seems to have no real purpose, at least not in this world - here and now.
