I've been thinking.

If the powers of God were invested in any average, good willed, joe on the street, do you think this world would become a better place? I would think, with the capabilities and power of doing such good, I believe any average Joe would have the sense to make this world a better place if he were given the powers of God.

Is God really doing that good of a job? We have disease, rape, murder, torture, crime, injustice, pain, suffering, and a whole mess of chaos. And for some reason, I would trust the power of God with any stranger on the street to do a better job than what God has. Any stranger could make this world a better place, by a whole lot.

Just ask yourself, what would you do if you were God?

I for one, would do away with Hell.
and put people like Bin Laden in heaven. if he is in heaven, I ain't going.

Quote:
I'd remove the desire to sin from my creations. (which actually doesn't make us robots, unless you admit we are all robots in Heaven)
means we are unable to make a choice. that makes us robots. never said that we wouldn't be tested periodically in heaven. you forget, we make the choice to become sinless, thus making the removal of sin of OUR OWN will AND His will. if YOU took away sin, you would be doing it without our will, thus making us robots.

Quote:
I'd teach my creations of their own lives. I'd explain to them how to be good.
God does, just read the Bible.

Quote:
I'd give them the power to be good and make the right choices.
he does. "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

Quote:
I'd do away with all pain and wickedness.
that is coming. pain and wickedness is a direct result of sin. when we reach heaven because of our choice to follow Him, sin is gone, and thus no pain, grief, or wickedness.

Quote:
I'd do away with negative emotions such as envy or hate.
you really need to just put this with my answer to sin.

Quote:
I'd fix Lucifer up and let him back in Heaven.
lucifer made a choice, and is CONTINUING TO MAKE THAT CHOICE.

Quote:
I'd make sure all of my creations were content and happy.
I'm happy. those of us who follow Him may be going through trials and tribulations, but He gives us His "peace that passeth all understanding."

Quote:
There would be no evil, there would be no pain, there would be no Eternal suffering in Hell, and there would be bliss for all, because, afterall, I'm God and I would do just that.
and if you were God, I wouldn't give you ten minutes before one of us pissed you off and you shot us down.

Quote:
So.. what would you do with the powers of God? Do you think God is doing a very good job with what he is capable of?
well, to tell the truth, I would have destroyed Adam and Eve and started over again. see, that way sin never makes it into the world.

HOUSE: There's a bullet in his head.

CAMERON: He was shot?

HOUSE: No … somebody threw it at him.
