Isherwood, you have a point. For some reason, if God decided to say anything after the Bible, it would be met with condemnation. Apparently an all-knowing God can teach us everything we need to know in one relatively small book. Heck, I'm pretty sure we have even lost parts of it over the last few thousand years, but it is still all we need to know.
