(Or remember what happened to Americans post-911 who suggested that maybe it wasn't the greatest atrocity in recorded human history, or that maybe a degree of self-reappraisal was in order, or that maybe their compatroits were over-reacting just a tad?)
In my eyes Muslims across the world have just been making fools of themselves, and have reminded us about some distasteful aspects of their mindset. But we're not that far different ourselves, and we have to watch ourselves constantly so as not to slip back.
