| Jesus disciples were all Jews, and only one of them was in on the execution of the innocent Man. The leadership of the Jews in 1st century Palestine were the plotters, according to scripture. He was upsetting their applecart, calling them hypocrites and vipers.
The problem is that Phariseeism has continued to the present and is now the basis of traditional Judaism. And in fact Judaism has continued hostile to Jesus; some would say the feeling is mutual. Does the "democratic" state of Israel allow Christians to speak of faith openly?
