I'm not sure about that, but I am sure that the Republicans gave Clinton his Supreme Court nominations, even if they were left wing ideologues. And I'm equally sure that the Repubs didn't use the filibuster as the Demos do. Now they declare a filibuster on almost all bills. It used to be used only in rare instances. There is a five seat Repub majority in the Senate, it used to be enough; now there is a 10 seat majority required because the Demos declare a filibuster if they don't like a bill.
The Democrat's behavior is scurrilous. If they filibuster this next Sup Court nomination I hope that Frist uses the Constitution optioin and slams the Demos into the dirt, where they belong.
