![]() MoreThanMeetsTheEye Location: Earth, Solar System Posts: 505 | Who are you voting for? I thought it might be an interesting idea to hold our own volconvo mini-election, just for kicks. So just pick between McCain or Obama or other and cite what other candidate you are voting for or maybe if you are not going to vote at all because you think the election is just stupid. No sacrifice, No victory |

McCain reminds me too much of bush except more likely to die in office. Palin religious beliefs and intelligence makes me not want give her the nuclear codes. Knowledge is power, use it well. Don't fear the unknown, seek to understand it Formerly Halofan48 Fun game!!! |

| Un-molten Ash Posts: 313 | Not voting for Obama, not voting for McCain. Obama, just no. Yes, he'll bring change, but not much I'd like to see. His smokescreen campaign promises scare me. As for McCain, he represents too much of what we have seen the past four years. Slightly better, but he's still been in the game for too long. He's had a long run, and a good run. But at some point, someone needs to be replaced on the mantle. Republicans need to do some soul searching and find some new young gun to get the gears rolling again. Instead, they found Palin. Ugh. I could not honestly find it within me to vote for either or, so I must turn to a protest vote. Yes, a protest vote indirectly aides Obama, especially considering I am a Floridian, but as Whilletal pointed out, voting for the lesser of too evils is still voting for evil. Granted, I don't know if there is a "lesser" choice. And if Obama does win (very likely), perhaps a little good will come out of it. Maybe some social issues stuff. |

![]() Igneous Magma Posts: 192 | That's not the point though is it. A vote cast is never a vote wasted. I am not one of them that lives across the pond, so I can't vote. I shall stay up and watch the results come in - and go to bed once we know the winner...hopefully it won't be long, unless there's some interfering and vote rigging...like last time, and the time before.... |

![]() triskaidekaphobia Location: Miami Posts: 6 | I think that Americans today rather not vote for anybody. We took 8 yrs. of all this stuff and now we don't know who to trust or who to believe. I think you can all agree when I say that we just need a change, but can one of these two cnadidates give that to us? Can they gives us back the American Dream? We just have to be positive. We took 8 yrs. and now it's time to take a chance once again. Some might vote for the rebuplican candidate and some might vote for the democratic candidate. It doesnt matter who you vote for, just vote for someone. And vote because we need change, vote because of what you believe, vote because it's your right as an American. And may the best candidate make it to the White House! |

And also, if you pick the turd, you might be nauseous but at least it will dry and petrify, leaving less stench; if you eat the candy, you might get a cavity... ![]()

I think we should start with term limits in Congress--enough of the career politicians only looking to protect their employment. Then move on to government spending: if the state can handle it, let the state handle it, the Fed should be only concerned with national issues. Hmmm, this gives me an idea of a post... EDIT: new thread based on above idea: Change is needed
