| A.N., I am not quite sure that I follow you. Are you saying that you agree that the music is a reflection of an attempt to help people that has gone terribly wrong? Or are you suggesting that problems within the society are somehow caused, or exacerbated by the music itself?
As I type this, I do find myself wondering about middle class white adolescents who take on the "gangsta" persona. I also note that if they carry this persona into adulthood, they often remove themselves from opportunity as surely as if they were born and raised in the projects.
It may be that your sole purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others. |
