if the justice system worked at all then maybe this would work also.

hang them as soon as possible because it is obvious they deserve it.
right. that may apply once or twice... but in most cases it is far more complex. and the justice system is so bad that these overpayed lawyers can conceal the truth and bend the laws in their favor to incriminate whoever they see fit.
