I try to avoid absolutes, as there are plenty of people who are "mainstream" Christians but just can't resist talking about their faith, but most in my experience fit what I said previously.
Case in point; my neighbore are fundamentalist Christians, but you wouldn't know it. In fact, you wouldn't know they were religious at all if you didn't know them pretty well personally. I've known them for 20 years and I don't think I knew anything about their beliefs for at least TEN.
