| As a Methodist, I can say that it is entirely acceptable for women to hold any position whatsoever in the church. What difference does it make? The thing I like about the denomination I go to is that we don't quibble over semantics. It's the message that is important, not how it's delivered. Real followers of Jesus understand this.
