I recently read an
article about black holes talking about a new theory, that a black hole between the event horizon and the singularity is made of up a tangle of "strings." This means that when matter falls into a black hole, it will change the interior or that hole, so the whole process will be reversable. This is in contrast to the old model, where when stuff fell in, information would be destroyed.
Another article
This one is really short, but dry and scientific, tells that information can be stored, changed, and so on on the surface of the event horizon.
An old scientific american article that i can't find suggests that supermassive black holes can contain enough information on their surface to contain an entire universe, and the idea of strings from the surface to the singluarity seems like it would expand the possibilities for storing information. So, is a black hole the
hologram of another universe?
