The idea of stem sell tharapies are hardly new. Bone marrow transplants are a form of stem cell tharapy. The goal is to regenerate the blood from pluripotent stem cells. When we speak of stem cell research here, the common meaning is more radical regeneration from totepotant stem cells. It is an extra degree of complexity quantitatively, but it is qualitatively the same thing we have been doing for years.
Fixed ideas are like a cramp in the foot - the best remedy against it is to tread on it.
