But, you haven't delt with my thesis. Which is: society does not benefit by having more intoxicated citizens. It's only partically relevant which substance renders one more intoxicated than the other.
However, one can drink a beer and not be hampered. One does not always drink a beer to become intoxicated. One ALWAYS smokes a joint to become hammered. Therefore, I suspect that small amounts of booze is less dangerous than relatively light MJ usage.
