the savagery that was prevalent during the cultural revolution hasn't died in chinese society. i firmly believe that there are many chinese eager for a war against the u.s... i'm not sure if there are many americans who want the same.. your government is definitely pushing for war, and the collective seems like they'll do whatever it says. |
Are you serious? China is pushing for a war? I have been following the situation across pacific ocean for ten years, it is the first time I hear such opinion. Among the three country (China, US, Japan), Japan is the country wanting the war most, US the second, China is the last. The reason is very simple: Japan will benefit the most if there is a war (like it did in Korea war), while China benefit the most if there is no war.
No chinese want to fight a war against US. We have no problems with US, except Taiwan, which US officially regards as part of China, while covertly pushs the separation. If US means to support a peacefull unification of Taiwan and mainland, as it asserts, all chinese across Taiwan strait will be much obliged to US. If US means to push for Taiwan independence, and join China's civial war under the name of "defending freedom or democracy", we will have no other alternatives, or the most ignominious and appalling servitude.
Let us just pray Taiwan not go independent.
I agree that there are a lot of bad stuff in China's culture. But those in your link are not true. I am sure it is from the hands of Japanese.
BTW, I cannot understand why you are interested in quirks, don't people go other cultures for creams, as supposed to dregs or quirks?
