I guess it is a matter of interpretation. I remember these and I would not consider them pandemics, because the impact and death toll was not high enough by my standards.
The pandemiic of the future will most likely be a fast spreading and deadly flu.
The recemt cholera and AIDS outbreaks may likely be also considered pandemics, but not on the scale of the 1917-1919 flu pandemic..
