Any century, since a pandemic has to involve most or all the world, this pandemic has to have occured in recent history. Hint, hint

The only major pandemic in history is the 1918-1919 flu pandemic that killed between 30 million and 70 million people world wide. It probably contributed to ending World War I because of the huge number of soldiers and civilians that died. It was sometimes called the Spaniah Flu Pandemic. It is an important event in history for those that are interested and you can check it out on the net.

Recent research has indicated that it may have been a highly contagious variation of a Bird Flu.
