[Article XVII.]
The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote. The electors in each State shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the State legislatures.
(Direct election of Senators rather than appointment by state legislators, gave me greater say in my government, increasing my liberty. Ratified 1913)
Article [XIX].
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.
(I'm a woman, so this has very large bearing on my rights and liberties. Ratified 1920)
Amendment XXII
Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.
(Presidential Term Limit decreases chance of abuse of power by sheer accumulation of power over time. Increases my long-term chances of securing my liberty against tyrany)
Title IX
Allowed me to participate in High School Athletics on an equal footing with my male counterparts and learn what men had for so longed claimed women were unable to learn without competitive chances, how to work as part of a team. Increased my marketability in the world of work and enhanced my life in multiple other ways.
Do you really want me to go on...? I say:
YES, I want you to show me some LAWS, not constitutional AMENDMENTS. I am talking about laws that are actually heard in court, besides the supreme court. I am not talking about common law, the only REAL LAW, I am talking about civil law, tax law, you know, the big books you are required to know every letter of, since ignorance of the law is no excuse.
One of these forms of law:

This is just the tax code....(over 17,000 pages, and over 700 different forms required.)

Constitutional Law is changed by THE PEOPLE, and that was in no great part to party politics. Party politics is what is passed into law everyday, when the cameras aren't on them (except of course C-Spans, bless their hearts.)
So please, tell me, out of the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of laws passed by the two major parties, is the overwhelming percentage to benefit the citizens?
Is it possible to know all legal code that pertains to the average citizen, or may effect them in any situation?
