Well, here's my question: If there's defamatory stuff in the book, why not obtain a court injunction or sue for damages?
Your question rasies a complicated and possibly bizzare answer. It is, I have heard, that the claims made by Klein's book are so wild as to help create sympathy for Ms Clinton and concrete her position in her upcoming political campaign(s). She did successfully run on the sympathy ticket before.

I doubt that though as it looks like just another "cashing out" process for a highly credentialed writer. I saw Klein on Stuart Smalley's (he really does seem constantly in character) show but a broader discussion was not pursued and instead the disucssion centered around minor points of accuracy. Smalley had some other guest on the show who keep hurling insults at Klein and it kept book discussion to a minimum.

I need to read the book for myself but never buy this kind of stuff and instead wait for the library. On the waiting list, I am 161 out of 168 in line so it'll be Christmas before I read the thing.

But really, when is it news to find that a politician will do, say, lie, cheat, defame, conspire, assault, grovel and even kill to gain and keep power? I'm not scratching my head over it.
