| It is worth mentioning that the broadcasts of CNN outside of the US can be of some value, but those in the US cater so much to the state and the official party line that they lose all value.
I would go further and suggest that parents seek out many different news sources, including those away from the accepted and pop culture ones such as CNN in the US. Listen to broadcasts from other nations and from independent sources.
But this is a good idea for anyone interested in the world, not just for children. The powers that be in the US would not have the degree of favor and popularity they enjoy, nor would they so easily be able to pull the wool over the eyes of the general populace, if that populace would seek out the truth instead of accepting the spin. |
