I think he's neither hero nor zero (being neither is possible you know).

A lot of what he says is unpleasant to your ears because you're in the habit of viewing your country in that good-old rosy-feel-good glow. And Chomsky's words feel like a cold shower. (You'd prefer a cheerleader, right?) But in terms of nut-cutting analysis he's often bang on in my view.

Care to give specific examples of where he was out to lunch?
